C It Now launches test drive mode

If anything has even vaguely been missing in our world of live video for used car presentation, its the option to take the car for a test drive.
To date, C It Now has been used on dealer forecourts and showrooms across the UK. Salespeople equipped with their camera and PCs have been talking with customers via their headsets while pointing the camera at thousands of alloys, dashboards and boots. Stacks of detailed information, delivered live, helping customers who are nowhere near the dealership to make a buying decision.
Now you have the option to take the car for a test drive. Let's watch the result of John Thompson's test drive video at Mercedes Benz Hertford, where he came up with the idea.
With the simple low cost addition of an SD card for the video camera, John was able to shoot the test drive video with the help of a colleague.
Once back in the office, simply start a 'local' C It Now session. The only difference this time is to use the camera in 'playback' rather than 'standby' mode. If the video is 5 minutes long, it takes 5 minutes before the video link can be sent to a customer, or linked to your Facebook page or web site; either way, it's quick.
The sweetest spot for C It Now is always going to be a live customer demo, but 'Test Drive' mode does provide additional benefit - some icing on the cake.
I'm also interested to know what you think of the way that John presents. Mercedes Benz Hertford have been very keen to move away from 'brochure speak' in the videos, creating a compelling call to action.
What do you think? Does it work?
This is an area that I'm going to return to shortly, investigating the benefits of media training which we are now offering to C It Now dealers.
